September Progress Update

Hi there this is a progress update for the month of September.

I hope you guys enjoyed the last update I had a lot of fun getting the scenario down and I enjoyed getting to share one of my hobbies with everyone who played the latest demo. If you liked interactions like that let me know I got a lot more in store for the cast.

 Progress:

Astral PT 2:
Currently, I'm working on getting Astral's route scripted still. This interaction is incredibly long and I'm chipping at it daily. It's pushing my limits as a programmer as I wanted to develop a special feature on the side. If I cannot get this to work however I will be releasing the part without this special feature.

Sterben PT 2:
Sterben Part 2 is currently being re-written to fit the narrative I want to tell with his character better. Sterben is the character I project the most of myself into so I'm trying my best to incorporate the struggle he will go through without having personal feelings get in the way.

Kemo Reloaded PT 1:
Kemo's redone parts 1 and 2 have been drafted. Currently working on revising the first draft of Kemo's part 1 and hope I can just make it final after I have some feedback. I had a lot of help with Kemo's re-do and I owe a lot of it to my friend Marcus Heckinberry. He's a great person so please read his work.

Beio PT 2:
I have plans for Beio but I decided to scrap them and start over for his second part as I was starting to get ahead of myself and my own capabilities. Currently back to the whiteboard section of his character.  Hopefully, in November I'll have something solid to work with.

Extras:
I've been saving up money for a proper GUI,  I don't know when I can commission it but hopefully by the end of 2022 or sooner. Nanashi (the protag) will have a design. I've gotten a lot of different designs planned but I cannot decide on one,  once I do the first time where you will be able to see him is at the beginning of the game in a CG. I am not sure if I will have his sprite/expressions be visible in the text boxes or not like other VNs. Please let me know what you'd prefer.

Personal (Only read if you're curious about how my personal life is):
About a week after I published the latest update I started taking Adderall XR for my ADHD.
I've struggled with ADHD my entire life and hopefully, now my life can be slightly more organized and I can allocate time properly.

I also have developed Tendonosis from poor wrist posture when at work. I've had it for about 3 months, I should be healed by November but it makes typing hard.  Because of this and my other wrist issues, I have to dedicate time to working on personal projects and pursuing my hobby with fighting games because I cannot do both on the same day and it makes it hard to continue to do both, and with Melty Blood type lumina releasing I want to continue to do both. I am working on a schedule for myself but I also have to incorporate schoolwork into this as well, and it makes the entire thing an extreme hassle, take care of your body guys for real.

I've been working on Gamer Den for years now from early concept to writing and releasing the first build to now, it's been a huge chunk of my 20's and it's always been a dream of mine to create a game. However, there are times I just feel apathetic to the process of programming/scripting it takes up a huge portion of my time and is extremely repetitive. there are times I just want to quit but I can't because I've already spent a lot of time with these characters and a large part of me is into this project now and to give up on it would be to give up on myself which I do not want. At least not now, I always intend to finish gamer den and I do hope I can finish it within the next 2 years, heck Echo took 7 years to finish so I think being on year 3 of content isn't bad so far for a small team of myself and a co-write. I've been asked to re-vitalize my Patreon and honestly, it's not worth it at the moment for me to open it or for people to pledge. Opening a Patreon would force me to work on the VN every day which i cannot realistically do at the moment.  I'm thankful to those who have pledged before and bought the game on itch, your contributions have gone towards making the game better (see art lol). In short thank you for your continued support I love y'all fr.

Lastly, I'm going to BLFC on the 20th if any of you go please reach out to me on twitter and message me, I'd love to meet anyone attending
